A nice dense green screen in summer that is a great wind and noise break, turning a copper colour in the autumn and can retain some foliage throughout the winter depending on weather and if exposed.

Beech or Fagus Sylvatica is one of the most popular native hedges in UK. Famous for its magnificent autumn colour, green leaves in summer turn a copper like colour in the autumn and although a deciduous variety it can retain some foliage to offer some coverage over the winter months (subject to weather and exposed locations).
Leylandii (Cupressocyparis leylandii)
Leylandii is an evergreen conifer hedging plant or tree. An extremely popular hedging plant due to it dense evergeen foliage, the extremely fast growth rate (60-90cm per annum) and its tall eventual height. Popular for creating tall dense screenage, this conifer hedge is also great as wind break and useful for noise and toxic pollution as the large surface area of the leaves help to soak up.
