Oak or Quercus Robur is a historic English native tree. This traditional British tree can also be used as a hedging plant and is mainstay of the English countryside. This native deciduous tree is great for local wildlife providing security and a food source. The distinctive leaf shape and the acorns that drop in the autumn are iconic part of British countryside. Oak is pretty hardy and will tolerate most soils and locations, it grows quickly at 40-60cm per annum. Oak is available in bare root and pot grown forms and can be used in a mixed native hedgerow.
